Seminario Workshop “Innovative Business Models for Entrepreneurs”
Se informa sobre el seminario a celebrar en la asignatura “Creación de Empresas” (impartida en inglés) de cuarto curso del Grado en Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humanos de la Facultad de Estudios Sociales y del Trabajo (aula 2.16).
Es un Seminario organizado en el contexto del proyecto PIE 17-098 “Improving Entrepreneurship and Management learning-teaching in English: an action learning approach”, y está financiado por la Convocatoria de Acciones de la Línea 7, Acción 73 del I Plan Propio Integral de Docencia de la Universidad de Málaga (Acción Sectorial 732 –Formación para la Innovación y el Emprendimiento) del Vicerrectorado de Innovación Social y Emprendimiento.
Días 2-3/5/2018. Horario: 9:00 a 11:15 horas. Clase 2.16.
Seminario Workshop “Innovative Business Models for Entrepreneurs”
El objetivo de esta actividad es introducir a los alumnos en los modelos de negocio innovadores que pueden seguirse para explotar oportunidades de negocio y crear/desarrollar empresas.
Ponente: Prof Nigel Lockett, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Lancaster University Management School, UK.
Breve historial:
Nigel Lockett is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Lancaster University Management School. To raise awareness he blogs as The Dyslexic Professor. He is a senior academic, experienced manager, entrepreneur and community leader. Nigel is Co-Investigator on the £6.7m GCRF RECIRCULATE project. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the NUWord Charity and also a Fellow and past President of the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Before joining Lancaster University, he previously worked as Professor of Enterprise and Director of Enterprise Learning at the University of Leeds, Senior Lecturer at Bradford University School of Management and Brunel University Business School, Business Development Manager at InfoLab21 and Lecturer at the Lancaster University Management School. In 2015, Nigel was awarded the prestigious National Teaching Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to enterprise in higher education and leadership of the successful University of Leeds submissions for the Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship and the Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year. Nigel also has over 25 years experience as a company director, with a track record in managing start-up, joint venture and social enterprises. His current research interests include knowledge exchange between universities and industry, academic entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial learning and the use of CRM technologies by SMEs. He is the co-author, with Professor Richard Blundel, and Professor Catherine Wang of a major textbook, Exploring Entrepreneurship 2nd Edition(2017) published by Sage Publishing. Nigel has successfully designed and delivered innovative programmes in entrepreneurship, innovation, strategy, e-business and technology enterprise. He has also worked with many small business owners on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses initiative and executives of global enterprises, including Hallmark and Pace. He is a Fellow of the RSA.
